Walk different.
Think faster.

Where he comes from

A small people with one big rule.

Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest religions in the world. It was taught in ancient Persia by the prophet Zarathushtra, who spoke of one God, Ahura Mazda, the Wise Lord.

More than a thousand years ago a group of Zoroastrians left Persia by sea and landed on the coast of Gujarat. India came to call them Parsis, the people from Persia.

The story goes that the local king sent them a bowl filled to the brim with milk, to say his land had no room. Their priest stirred a spoon of sugar into it and sent it back. Not a drop spilled. We will not crowd your land, the answer said. We will only make it sweeter.

They kept that promise. Parsis are fewer than a hundred thousand in India today, yet they built some of its best-known companies, hospitals, schools and charities.

In their temples a fire is kept burning day and night, as a sign of light and truth. And every Parsi child is raised on three short words.

Humata

Good thoughts

Begin with what you think of other people, before you say or do anything.

Hukhta

Good words

Speak in a way that leaves the other person better than you found them.

Hvarshta

Good deeds

Then act. Thought and speech count for little until something is done.

This is the home Ruhshad was born into.

A Mumbai kid.

Born and raised in Mumbai, in a Zoroastrian Parsi home.

Parsis are a small community in India, known for building things and for giving. Every Parsi child grows up on one line: good thoughts, good words, good deeds.

Mumbai did the rest. The city teaches you to move fast, share what little space there is, and keep going.

Notorious in school.

The boy every teacher knew by name. Trouble found him often.

Grudges never did. He forgave quickly, and he still does. Nobody could quite work him out.

Looking back, there was a reason he did not fit. He had dystonia and ADHD, and neither had a name yet.

03 / 09

On film sets as a boy.

Between 1996 and 2001 he appeared in five films and one television series.

The films starred Anil Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Aishwarya Rai and Will Smith. He was the boy at the edge of the frame.

A film set taught him that hundreds of people build a single scene, and most of them are never on the poster.

  • Virasat, 1997: the lead as a boy
  • Pardes, 1997: child artist
  • Salaakhen, 1998: child role
  • Wild Wild West, 1999: small uncredited part
  • Josh, 2000: child artist
  • Noor Jahan, DD National, 2000 to 2001: the eldest brother

Ships and containers.

His first real jobs were at Wallem Ship Management and then Hutchison Whampoa.

Shipping runs on trust between people who may never meet: an owner in one country, a crew from another, cargo bound for a third.

This is where he learned to deliver work for people far away. It is the root of the insourcing he does today.

05 / 09

Built. Lost. Built again.

He started one company after another.

Not all of them lasted, and he does not hide that. Each one taught him what the next one needed.

  • eSytes: websites, advertising and IT
  • Amaltas: ERP software
  • VTrust: facility management and staffing
  • Vervx: an email product

Laughed at for his walk.

Born with dystonia, and he has ADHD. The dystonia changes the way he walks. Strangers stopped to watch. He was stared at, laughed at and humiliated in public, and for years he carried that as shame.

He had it from birth, but he learned its name only in 2015.

What they could not see was his mind. It moves very fast, and it usually reaches the answer first.

07 / 09

From nothing to everything.

There was a time he had nothing.

What changed it was guidance: the blessings of Sri Amma Bhagavan and of Sri Balgopalji. Everything he has today came after that.

Sri Amma Bhagavan are the teachers whose teaching Sri Balgopalji carries forward. Ruhshad follows Sri Balgopalji as his Dharma Leader.

08 / 09

Into the boardroom.

He founded DVLLA. The boards of Fortune 500 companies approve him to help build their leadership: CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, other CXOs and the entire teams under them.

The work is done with precision, and it draws on knowledge influenced by Kumar Sundaram.

He is also Managing Partner of Daruwalla Consultancy Services LLP in Fort, Mumbai. It works across IT, maritime, satcom, BFSI and facility management, and was Great Place to Work Certified in 2025.

Now he gives it back.

A man who was laughed at in the street knows what it is to need help and not receive it.

Out of everything he could support, he chose one: Song Of Oneness Foundation.

He asks everyone who has walked this far with him to stand with it too.

Why he wants this for everyone

What it did for one man, it can do for anyone.

Ruhshad went from nothing to everything under the guidance and blessings of Sri Amma Bhagavan and Sri Balgopalji. He wants humanity to benefit from the teaching of Sri Balgopalji, which comes through the teaching of Sri Amma Bhagavan, the same way he did.

What he does

Two kinds of work. One idea.

Put the right person in the right seat, and both the company and the person gain. He does this in two ways.

Insourcing projects

Outsourcing hands your work to another company. Insourcing is different: the company builds its own team in India, and Ruhshad builds and runs that team for it.

  1. 1
    The need

A company abroad has work it cannot staff at home: a development team, a support desk, the IT for a fleet of ships.

  2. 2
    The team

Ruhshad finds and hires the people in India. They work only for that company, as its own team.

  3. 3
    The delivery

He sets up the work, runs it day to day and stays answerable for it. The company keeps control of what is built.

  4. 4
    The result

The company gets its work done well. New jobs are created in India. More than 70 specialists have worked this way under him since 2014.

Board-level hires

A wrong appointment at the top can cost a company years. Through DVLLA, Ruhshad works with boards on the appointments that matter most.

  • CEO
  • CTO
  • CIO
  • CHRO
  • CRO
  • Board members
  • Entire teams

The work is slow on purpose. Understand the company first. Find the few people who truly fit. Stay until the seat is settled.

The dream behind it is simple: create jobs and opportunities for other people, not only for himself.

Understanding it

Dystonia and ADHD, in plain words.

What dystonia is

A movement disorder. The brain sends the muscles signals they did not ask for, so they tighten, twist or jerk on their own. It can change the way a person stands, writes or walks.

What it is not

It is not an illness of the mind and it is not contagious. It has nothing to do with how intelligent a person is. Treatment can ease it, but there is no cure.

What ADHD is

A difference in how the brain manages attention and energy. Sitting still and following one thread can be hard. Many people with ADHD also think quickly and across many ideas at once.

What to do with this

If you see someone who walks or moves differently, now you know one reason why. Please do not stare, and please do not laugh.

The promise on this website

  • Your donation is transferred to the Foundation's own current account at ICICI Bank. It does not pass through Ruhshad.
  • Ruhshad takes no fee, no commission and no salary from it.
  • The cost of running this website is paid by Ruhshad, not from donations.

What the teaching did

It took him home.

The teaching of Sri Amma Bhagavan, received through Sri Balgopalji, did something Ruhshad never thought would happen. It connected him with his own roots, and brought him closer to his Ahura Mazda than he had ever been.

It did not take him away from the faith he was born into. It showed him what that faith had been saying all along.

Learning to be conscious

What he learnt was to be conscious and aware of everything: what he thinks, what he says, what he does, and the people in front of him. It sounds simple. It is the work of a lifetime.

Aware of thoughts

To notice a thought as it arrives, instead of being carried away by it. A thought that is seen clearly loses its grip.

Aware of words

To hear what he is about to say before he says it, and to ask whether it will help or hurt.

Aware of the body

To feel the body as it is, without fighting it. Awareness does not stop a movement. It can end the war with it.

Aware of others

To see the person in front of him fully, including the one who stares or laughs, and to answer without anger.

Good thoughts, good words and good deeds all begin with noticing. That is where the oldest teaching he was born into and the teaching he found as a grown man meet.

Why we give

Work first. Then give it back.

DVLLA and Daruwalla Consultancy Services exist to turn opportunities into jobs. A company comes with a seat it cannot fill. Somewhere a person has been waiting for exactly that seat. The team brings the two together.

  1. 1

    An opportunity arrives

A company or a board asks for a leader, a specialist or an entire team.

  2. 2

    It becomes a job

The right person is placed. The company gains, and so does the family behind that person.

  3. 3

    It is given back

The team does not deliver only to keep itself running. It delivers so that what is received can be given back to mankind.

The team has kept delivering, again and again, with this one purpose. The organisation was never meant to run for its own sake.

This is done in the footsteps of Sri Amma Bhagavan, guru, mentor and the Paramjyothi of our Dharma, and of the Dharma Leader, Sri Balgopalji.

Before you give: the rules we follow

Who can give right now
Indian citizens, whether they live in India or abroad, giving from their own bank account in India (savings, current, NRE or NRO).
Donors outside India
Under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, an Indian organisation may accept money from a foreign source only after it is registered under that Act. Until the Foundation holds that registration, it cannot accept contributions from foreign citizens, Overseas Citizens of India, or foreign companies and trusts. Please do not transfer from a foreign source for now.
Tax benefit
The Foundation’s approvals under the Income-tax Act, including section 80G, are in process. Until they are granted, a donation does not qualify for a tax deduction, and the acknowledgement you receive will say so.
How to pay
Only by bank transfer, UPI or cheque to the Foundation’s account shown here. No cash is collected through this website.
Why we ask for your name, address and PAN
Indian tax law expects a charitable organisation to keep a record of who gave and how much, and anonymous donations are taxed differently. Your details let the Foundation record your gift correctly.
Your information
Your mobile number is saved as soon as you enter it, whether or not you go on to verify it, and your email when you enter it. Your PAN, address and payment screenshot are used only to verify you and record your donation, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We message you about the Foundation’s work only if you tick the box to allow it. To have your details corrected or removed, write to ruhshad@ruhshad.com.
Your choice
Giving is voluntary. Nothing is sold or promised in return. If you transferred an amount by mistake, call Ruhshad on 9167896969.
Visits to this website
Like most websites, this one records visits: the parts of the page viewed, the time spent, the type of device and browser, and the approximate location worked out from the internet address. This is used only to understand how the site is being read.

Questions people ask

Where does my money go?

Straight into the current account of Song of Oneness Foundation at ICICI Bank. It does not pass through Ruhshad, and he takes no fee, commission or salary from it.

Why must I verify my mobile number first?

So that every contribution is tied to a real person who can be reached. It protects donors and the Foundation from false entries.

What happens after I send my details and screenshot?

They are sent to Ruhshad Daruwalla and Kumar Sundaram for the Foundation’s records. You may get a call to confirm the transfer.

Will I get a tax deduction?

Not yet. The Foundation’s approvals under the Income-tax Act, including section 80G, are in process. Until they are granted a donation does not qualify for a deduction.

Can I give from outside India?

Indian citizens can give from their own bank account in India, including NRE and NRO accounts. Foreign citizens and foreign organisations cannot give until the Foundation is registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.
